Er, I got really bad food poisoning from diy kimchee in 7th grade science club. Does the aforementioned book explain how to avoid that LOL?

Excellent article! I've attended a few Susun Weed workshops, and since first getting into herbalism a few years ago, the one big "stumbling block" for me was to learn to enjoy bitters.
Dandelion root = Blech! but now, after all this time, I enjoy, as you suggested, a fresh mugwort leaf to perk up the juices before a big camping meal.
Keep up the great postings!

I love fermented foods, and have also really come to value bitters in my diet, as well as in my medicine. Great post.

For digestion & helping people including children with Autism, look at this wonderful site:

I ordered Vitality Greens and Ancient Earth Minerals from this site, and they are wonderful products. I hope to also get the starter kit for making fermented veggies.
Thanks for this wonderful site you have. - Mary
